About Us
The Don Harstad Company opened its doors in 1948 and since that time we have
provided sales and service for the Parking and Access Control industry. Based
in Fridley, Minnesota we are in close proximity to the Minneapolis/St. Paul
greater metro area.
Don Harstad Company has offered sales and support throughout the United States
but mainly serves a five state area consisting of Minnesota, Wisconsin, North
Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.
Today, we market a number of integrated computer-based products to support
the Parking and Access Control Industries, along with a full line of Swing/Slide
Gate Operators, Perimeter Security Systems and Vehicle Crash Barriers.
Don Harstad Company also designs and installs a vast array of Count and Control
Systems.

Directions to DHC
from Downtown Minneapolis:
- 94 West out of downtown Minneapolis.
- Take 694 East to Central Avenue.
- Exit off of 694 on to Central and at the light turn left to go
north.
- After approximately a mile you will go past a set
of lights on Mississippi Street…Keep going north.
- After Mississippi Street keep in the right-hand lane.
There is a right turn lane that starts just before
a set of railroad tracks.
- Turn right immediately after the tracks and then
take an immediate left on the frontage road.
- Once you go about 50 feet there will be a driveway
(the first one) on the right-hand side. There will
be a State Farm Insurance office at the top of the
driveway.
- Go down the driveway and we are located in a beige
colored building at the bottom of the hill. Look for
Don Harstad Company Inc. sign on the building at the
bottom of the hill.
